julie buis - managing director

As founder of Aequus Research, Julie Buis has over 20 years of international pharmaceutical experience, having begun her career at the headquarters of Alcon Laboratories in Texas, USA.

Julie has held senior positions in research and new business development at Total Research Ltd and Isis (now part of Synovate - the Aegis Group). Prior to setting up Aequus she was Managing Director of Strategic Marketing Corporation's European headquarters in London. She is an experienced multi-lingual moderator and award-winning presenter at international pharmaceutical industry symposia.

Julie specialises in providing strategic information on marketing landscaping assessments, product positioning, new product launches and patient-oriented studies to US and European-based pharmaceutical companies, utilizing a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques. She has worked in a wide range of therapeutic areas with a special interest in oncology, women's health and pain management to name a few.

Julie holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Area Studies, Spanish and French, and an MA in Spanish from Texas Tech University. She has studied at Aix-en-Provence, France, resided for over 10 years in South America and travels extensively.
